Overview / Responsibilities Wood has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Noise team in our Perth office. We have unique world-class engineering capability in the fields of Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN) and we are looking for a Senior Consultant with a keen interest in noise measurement, modelling and assessment. In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager - Noise and work to deliver projects on time and within budget for our clients.
A key task within this role is the ability to demonstrate technical excellence in resolving the causes of noise in industrial facilities and the impacts on people and the environment. This is a practical consulting role combining hands-on field work and office based analysis - accountabilities will include:
- Actively building strong collaborative and enduring relationships with clients
- Deliver high quality proposal, reports and presentations
- Development of client reports to communicate results and recommendations
- Provide leadership for standard and medium risk level projects, which may include environmental and occupational noise measurement, assessment and control
- Undertake, supervise and teach routine and non-routine tasks
- Deploy VDN project and practice management systems to deliver high performance outcomes for our clients and the business

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with an interest in Acoustics
- 8+ years relevant recent experience in the Oil & Gas, Mining and/or Utilities industries
- Client oriented with demonstrated relationship building skills and key account management with a passion for providing solutions tailored specifically to meet client requirements
- Committed to business process compliance
- Self-motivated individual who has demonstrated experience in leading and/or working as part of a cohesive team
- Flexibility to travel offshore and onshore, sometimes at short notice
- Hold a current manual unrestricted driver's license
- Strongly competent English language skills with effective report writing capability
- Computer proficient
- A commitment to HSE in the workplace
