As a Software Engineer, you will join a team who works to own the design and development of technical solutions meeting the IT project needs of the business- for Operational, Financial and Economic Planning Applications.

What's the role?

As Software Engineer, you will assure the functionality meets the business requirements as well as aligns with Shell's IT Strategy towards standardized and simplified solutions.

As a Software engineer, you are expected to do the following:
  • Be an active member of the Scrum Team delivering End to End support to our stakeholders, both via changes in the current landscape as well as projects for new initiatives.
  • Actively engage with both business and IT stakeholders to ensure delivery.
  • Deliver solutions at a high quality and in alignment with the strong Compliancy rules that are applicable to Planning Space components
  • Actively help drive Continuous Improvements both in the Ways of Working as well as in the Product Roadmap space


What We Need from You
  • Bachelor's Degree holder with at least 6 years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of Planning Space Applications
  • Strong Integration experience leveraging applicable middleware
  • Strong communicator to bridge the gap between business and IT from a technical background.
  • Strong analytical skills to enable thorough analysis of how requirements can be implemented from a tool perspective.
  • Strong SQL skills as the planning components are designed around an Oracle database;
  • Strong Azure development skills
  • Good understanding of the security vulnerabilities of on-premise application
  • Knowledgeable in agile ways of working, DevOps;, VSTS/Azure DevOps, Test Automation;, Continuous Improvement;, Power Shell scripting, Python
