Southwestern Energy is searching for Instrumentation & Electronics Technician to join our Field Operations team.

As an Instrumentation and Electronics Technician you will maintain, implement, and install automation and control systems to support natural gas production. You will work with Operations, Production, Facilities, Measurement, and SCADA groups to prioritize workload and be a HSE Champion. You will report directly to the Instrumentation and Electronics Foreman. This position is located in Tunkhannock, PA.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be knowledgeable in gas measurement principles, measurement equipment, maintenance practices, and operational requirements for the accurate measure of gas flow and energy according to AGA, GPA, and API standards.
  • Understand SCADA and the communications systems used in the operation of meter stations, control of flow and pressure, and data retrieval using ROC, ABB, Thermo Fisher EFM's
  • Have an ability to read and interpret most types of documents related to engineering projects such as scope of work, project plan charts (GANTT), P&ID drawings, electrical one-line drawings, construction drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks on different communication, electrical, measurement, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Understand basic chromatograph operational concepts, calibrations and troubleshooting.
  • Operate, tune, and maintain control valves and regulators for flow and pressure control.
  • Have experience troubleshooting and repairing of all types of equipment pertaining to instrument/electrical trade: a) 4-20 mA signal; b) basic AC and DC knowledge.
 

Your Background includes:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Industrial Electrical Certification or a Technical Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience is required.
  • Five (5) years in the field of Instrumentation and Electronics, preferred.
  • Oil and Gas Experience preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
