SR. SYSTEM CONTROL ENGINEER (OPERATION)
Primary Purpose of Job
Responsible for system control operations of imported power from the KAHRAMAA grid including all associated control and power equipment in Dukhan Concession Area main substations. Responsible for management / supervision of system control operations workforce in Dukhan Field Areas. Co-ordinate with Electrical Distribution team during any switching activity and make sure proper communication is done during isolation or de-isolation between Authorised Electrical Person (AEP) and the asset owner of the load. Also co-ordinate any switching between KAHRAMAA and QatarEnergy asset owner. Review and co-ordinate the activities of assigned personnel in routine operations and system controlling of all 33kV/11kV/415V switchgears and transformers, cables, overhead lines, capacitor banks and all associated auxiliary equipment which are connected to electrical distribution network. Follow up OEM routine maintenance for Power Management System (PMS) and SCADA. Supervise the process of tariff reading and raising sales orders. Provide necessary support to finalise Customer Agreements.
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
Experience & Skills
• A minimum of 10 Years of post-qualification experience in Systems Control. Experience with protection studies on electrical analysis packages and system co-ordination schemes. • Experience of minimum 3 years in supervising the process of tariff readings and raising sales orders. • Experience with computerized maintenance system, SAP preferred. • Knowledge of Inventory Control and Project Management desirable. • Good communication skills in English language (spoken & written). • Good knowledge in Power Management System (PMS). • Strong practical, theoretical and technical background in the implementation of electrical distribution systems for industrial and domestic network. • Experience in protection field preferably in the Petrochemical industry is preferred. • Good working knowledge of power system analysis software such as CYME Power Engineering Software.
