Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting Design Safety Engineers with relevant experience in the refinery, oil & gas and petrochemical industry.
- Comply with Wood's / Clients / Regulatory procedures and implement specific Design HSE / Process Safety / Fire Protection requirements on all projects assigned with
- Prepare HSE plan/deign basis, safety review procedures, Escape & Safety equipment layouts, Equipment Specifications, PFP Reports / Drawings, etc.
- Scribe / Prepare Reports for Safety Reviews such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.
- Prepare Fire Protection and Fire & Gas detection System Philosophy / Specification, Fire Water Demand Calculations, Datasheets, Deluge/Foam system P&ID and calculations, etc.,
- Prepare Fire Equipment and F&G Layout
- Perform firewater ring-main hydraulic analysis
- Compile data for RRA, QRA, FERA Studies to third party.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Skills / Qualifications
- Tech in Safety / Chemical (Preferred) / M.Tech - Process Safety / Environment (Desirable)
- Post qualification 2 - 8 years of relevant experience is essential
- Knowledge on Indian and international HSE standards like NFPA, OISD, IP, API, BS, etc., is essential
- Hands on experience in FATHOM / PIPENET is essential
- Hands on experience in DNV PHAST software and HAZOP PRO desirable
- Membership in Professional Organisations (Desirable)
