Overview / Responsibilities

Due to internal promotion, Wood are currently looking to fill a key role within its Quality function supporting the Operations EMEA business group that has a wide remit and opportunity to support operational delivery and improvement across a wide range of contracts & service lines.

Working closely with the Senior Operations Assurance & Quality Manager (EMEA), the role will interface with a wide range of stakeholders including within Quality and across the key functions, contracts, service lines and leadership to drive compliance, assurance & improvement.

While extensive experience in a lead Quality role is critical, even more essential is a collaborative & proactive approach and mindset necessary to identify and facilitate opportunities for tangible and sustainable process & business improvement.

Job Objective:

Supports the development, application and improvement of quality principles, systems and measures across Operations EMEA. Focused on improving delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with Quality policy, standards and delivering agreed objectives.

Ensures compliance with the Wood Business Management System and compliance through a structured assurance program.

Supporting measures that ensure predictable delivery and continuous improvement using performance data to make factually based decisions. Engaging and presenting program/project leaders with information and data to enable preventive interventions.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the management of all aspects of Quality across the breadth of Operations EMEA and its service lines / contracts.
  • Identification and regular engagement with key stakeholders to promote quality management and gathering feedback on performance.
  • Support the effective planning and allocation of resources (including people and budgets) enabling delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables.
  • Implementing and improving the Wood Business Management System (BMS) across Operations EMEA ensuring that its application is effective and that compliance with the system is routinely monitored, assessed and improved as necessary. Facilitate external BMS certification as appropriate.
  • Ensuring consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting systems across Operations EMEA (e.g., NCR, lessons learned and Customer satisfaction systems).
  • Supporting tenders and proposal activities for Operations EMEA
  • Planning and execution of risk-based assurance plans including the escalation of significant findings to business leadership.
  • Monitoring and analysis of delivery performance data, regularly reporting themes and trends to senior leaders and undertaking intervention as required.
  • Gathering and acting upon customer feedback ensuring action is taken to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitating continuous improvement activity across Operations EMEA in support of key business stakeholders.

 


Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma or local equivalent in quality management or related discipline Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (desirable)
  • Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute or equivalent (desirable)
  • Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential)


Knowledge, skills and experience:

 

  • Relevant experience (preferably in associated industry)
  • Track record in co-ordination of continuous improvement projects delivering tangible and demonstrable business benefits
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry Quality standards
  • Proficient in the analysis of processes and data
  • High Level of communication skills in both written and spoked format
