Job Description

Perform inspect incoming materials, first pieces, in process, and finished goods maintain appropriate records to comply with company and customer requirements

Essential functions

  • Receiving  inspection  of raw materials,  repair goods,  outside processed  material & bought out material
  • Product  measurement/inspection  and marking them during  in process  & final  stages of manufacturing  as applicable
  • Assuring  quality  parameters  are being met as per organizational/customer  requirements at all stages of manufacture/repairs
  • Maintaining  the calibration status  and calibration of measuring  instruments, and gauges and maintaining records
  • Identification  and maintaining  inspection  status of products
  • Identification  of non-conforming  products/goods  with  information to QC/Production superiors and raising NCRs
  • Release of products after satisfactory  inspection  results as per route card/API  requirements
  • Maintaining  records of products/process  monitoring  and inspection
  • Maintain a log  of welding  inspections done and inspection  results
  • Approve  welded components that pass the requirements  and are found acceptable
  • Identify the defective  parts suitably  to prevent unintended  use and inform the welding/production supervisor of necessary  measures
  • Re-inspect  welds after repair,  if any
  • Coordinate or WPS, welder qualification, PWHT, NOE requirements any other related duties assigned duty manager/supervisor.



Additional functions

  • Work under pressure with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • General understanding of drawings and process documents
  • English written & spoken skill is a must

Additional qualifications, skills, and abilities

  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience  in Quality Control
  • Matriculation or Intermediate
  • Any Degree or Diploma certification in mechanical engineering  is preferable
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment related to the Oil and Gas industry understanding of quality aspects and pre/post-production inspection of tools.
  • Basic Knowledge of Engineering drawings
