The Bid Cost Analyst is responsible for packaging technical tenders which include cost estimates, cash flow and margin analysis, delivery schedules, risk analysis, and contractual compliance reviews. They are well experienced in pressure controls equipment, including manufacturing and certifications processes. Additionally, they are commercially adept at market, customer and commercial pricing strategies, and capable of working with the outside sales team to determine the strategies to increase win probability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the scoping and high-level planning of a project though collaboration with other internal functions and stakeholders.
- Prepares complex tender packages
- Prepare and maintain Quotations using SAP
- Creates cost estimates in MS Excel and SAP
- Fully utilizes profit and loss statements for packages
- Utilizes pricing guidance to maximize margin while maintaining customer focus to maximize win probability
- valuates, with collaboration with engineering and subject matter experts, the technical requirements of the tender/project and helps develop the scope of work
- Coordinates with production departments to define delivery schedules
- Coordinates with service and operations departments to define recourses required for execution of projects Evaluates and resolves technical challenges during and after tender preparation
- Collaborates across the matrix organization and acts as facilitator to assure maximum alignment of customer and internal business objectives
- Reviews and coordinates various elements during quotation and tender development directly with the customer Performs contract review and organizes project handoff for execution phase
- Engages with the project execution team throughout the life of the project to capture lessons learned for continuous improvement opportunities.
Minimum Job Qualifications - HS Diploma with 8+ years of related experience
- Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system
- Proficient in MS Office products
