The Field-Testing Manager is responsible for the board portfolio of chemical and biological analytical procedures performed by Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions representatives. This role includes continuous curation of the existing methods including supporting training and advanced troubleshooting. Additionally, the Field-Testing Manager will be responsible for identifying and introducing new technologies to supplement products and services and deliver enhanced performance and productivity. This role will also serve as a trusted resource for product management and supply chain to ensure product availability.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:
  • Develop new field-testing methods in collaboration with the broader Technology and Product Management organizations
  • Act as the global point of contact for field testing support as well as align activities with regional field-testing leaders
  • Provide application assistance in troubleshooting field testing issues such as interference identification and quality issue mitigation
  • Maintain and supplement the catalog of Veolia field testing analytical procedures
  • Develop and deliver training material to support the Veolia commercial team and customers
  • Serve as the technical expert assisting Global Product Management and Lab Supply Operations in new product introductions and product swaps
  • Collaborate with Technologists developing online analyzers and chemical feed automation to ensure consistency in assay procedures and results

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in industrial analytical testing or quality laboratory settings

Desired Characteristics
  • Broad knowledge of US EPA or equivalent water testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with common field-testing equipment, reagents and methods such as those from Hach, Tintometer, Hygiena, 3M
  • Demonstrated skills with statistical analysis methods such as six-sigma
  • Proven working experience in project management for projects involving complex, multidisciplinary efforts
  • Demonstrated experience in people management with demonstrated experience in influencing, leading and conflict management
  • Strong client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities
