Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manages Technical Data - Parts , Drawings (engineering and supplier drawings) , Bill of Material, Design Data Sheets, Internal Standards/Work Level Procedures, purchase orders, technical specifications and other project required data
  • Enter, Update, and maintain engineering data base files with information electronically contained in engineering job packets (i.e., bill of material, design specifications)
  • Identifies opportunities for and/or drives implementation of improvements to the Engineering Change Process and/or Engineering Tracking System
  • Ensures the integrity, control and availability of the documents stored within the Product Data Management System (moved up)
  • Review data against engineering standards prior to loading and release
  • Works with supervisor and/or technical team members to resolve non-conforming data
  • Provide support/guidance to Technology and Manufacturing to analyze data and resolve interface problems between PDM and manufacturing systems
  • Coordinate and process Technical Data using Document Management database to manufacturing systems (SAP) (reworded)
  • Analyzes data and recommends improvements to individual user methods, processes, standards, and lessons learned and best practices
  • Implements established data/documentation procedures (moved down)
  • Maintains a current knowledge base in product Data Management System/mfg. systems. Drafts methods, processes, standards, lessons learned and best practices
  • Collaborate with the CAPE team on newly developed issues and provides expertise and guidance on related policies
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization and impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations
  • Errors are readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected in relatively short time frames
  • SAP, Document Management platform and SharePoint experience preferred


Qualifications:
  • Skills are typically acquired through 2 years related experience processing technical documentation associated with Manufacturing and/or Technology
  • Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles give (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
