Low Carbon Fuels 'LCF' is a massive growth agenda for Shell to reach the Carbon ambitions of the Group and commitment to regulators. As part of strategic business agenda major capital improvements are being pursued and as this agenda progresses, Shell must maintain its commitment to compliance, regulation and social responsibility. There are higher risks in new business and products areas, LCF is a high risk, and a high and rapid growth area that must be managed responsibly. As part of the LCF growth, the Business Integration & Assurance (BIAM) team will partner to ensure measured and responsible growth. As well as business adherence to compliance and operational risk programs. They will also help the business to develop processes that fit within our control framework and appropriate assurance measures. The BIAM roles are key for driving Compliance related activities within T&S Products and will spearhead the further development, roll-out and implementation of the Compliance Program Line of Defense 1 (LOD) for T&S Products globally particularly across Trading Legal Entities and for this role in the LCF strategic agenda of Shell & T&S. The role will have heavy interaction with all of the T&S Products teams and will work across T&S Compliance, Group Shell Ethics & Compliance Office, Contract & Procurement, Finance and IT.

The Accountabilities will include the Compliance LOD1 Program such as:
  • Supporting the LCF BIAM team to respond to Shell Internal Audit and external reviews and audit findings around financial crime, operational, sanction & other risk factors.
  • Project Management Office support for key BIAM projects: capturing meeting notes and updating actions lists; drafting presentation materials, document management, team agenda
  • Support assurance activities such as change management, information tracking, dashboards, cross-team coordination
  • Focal for LCF and LCF-BIAM Sharepoint, support for Regulatory team information management
  • PMO support for WONA (World Outside North America) team: project tracker, weekly reports, POAP (Plan on a page), minutes, action lists
  • Champion discipline, support to others and continuous improvement
  • Document processes, controls and assurance for the business, review with key stakeholders


What's the role?

As BIAM Business Transformation Support Specialist Low Carbon Fuels you are responsible for:
  • Supporting the new business in LCF Trading, Commercial Operations and Regulatory Operations by supporting various projects, i.e. digitalization, improvement control framework and assurance, etc.
  • Working with LCF, BIAM & other teams globally in supporting development and implementation of controls and assurances
  • Supporting the LCF BIAM team to respond to Shell Internal Audit team and external reviews and audit findings around financial crime, operational, sanction & other risk factors.
  • Project Management Office support for key BIAM projects: capturing meeting notes and updating actions lists; drafting presentation materials, document management, team agenda, etc.
  • Document processes, controls and assurance for the business, review with key stakeholders
  • Support assurance activities such as change management, information tracking, dashboards, cross-team coordination
  • Focal for LCF and LCF-BIAM Sharepoint, support for Regulatory team information management
  • Champion discipline, support to others and continuous improvement
  • Work with WONA team lead on the management activities of the key projects
  • Facilitate agile working for WONA team
  • Implement changes resulting from assurance activities in trading and operations landscape Cross-functional working

What we need from you
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree, preferably with relevant working experience and strong interest in new energies, Project Management, Change Management, Process engineering, etc.
  • Fluent in English. German and French language skills are a plus
  • Experience in working in oil or trading operations environment is a plus
  • Awareness in Low Carbon and Emissions landscape in Europe is a plus
  • Good communication and analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management
  • Passion for the energy transition
  • Excellent skills in visual management, dashboards design, visual task boards, co-creation tools and virtual team communication
  • Effective in working with diverse teams with multiple priorities across desks and countries
  • Ability to work with indirect teams
  • Resilient with strong delivery capabilities
  • Awareness of compliance, knowledge of key compliance & financial crime concerns as well as operational and key risk to Trading & Supply products business
  • Familiarity with data programs, agile methodology and system improvements is a plus
