Overview / Responsibilities Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Lead Piping Engineer to join our team in Atyrau (for KZ passport holders only).
Basic Functions:
- Ensure Piping Discipline activities are executed within budget and schedule whilst maintaining safety and technical integrity
- Ensure all design is undertake to company procedures and completed according to appropriate standards. Contribute to the attainment of business performance targets on HSE within area of responsibility
Principal Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all Piping activities and work as requested by Engineering and Project Managers
- The direction, control, supervision and co-ordination of Piping engineering work to ensure timely and consistent delivery
- Perform project site survey visit for data collection
- Recruitment, Selection, Development and coaching of Piping engineering team
- Effective networking throughout the company`s organisation to ensure best practice utilisation
- Be a Safety Leader and promote HSEQ awareness to all engineering and support personnel
- Expert knowledge of Piping engineering methodologies, software systems and design practices relating to FEED, detail design, commissioning and start up within the offshore and onshore oil & gas industry
- Functionally co-ordinates all Project Piping Engineers and designers
- Assists in co-ordination of Study scopes of work
- Establishes competency, appraise, and train Piping personnel
- Directs Engineering Delivery Piping Engineers (all tasks & targets)
- Co-ordinates the Piping contribution within multi-discipline designs
- Ensures compliance with relevant codes standards and practices
- QA upon technical work performed by subordinates within Engineering Delivery
- Approves, with the client, deviations to standards
- Manages design man hours within approved budgets & registers changes
- Ensures that all team members are aware of their Core Values
Skills / Qualifications - Project Technical Expert & Design Authority on all matters relating to Piping Engineering
- Ability to handle discussions and run meetings with client engineers
- Ability to run groups in Development of studies and FEED projects and Detailed Engineering projects
- Ensures that the technical competence of Piping engineers is matched to the work in hand
- The import of lateral best practice into the Project: Engaging companies, industry, or training establishments
- Good communication, networking, collaboration and well developed team-working skills
- Experience with supervision and developing potential in others
- Through language, behaviour and actions, demonstrate commitment to Company Core Values
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience
