Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking an Architectural Designer in order to grow its Perth Minerals, Metals, & Life Sciences group to meet the large demand in critical metals projects.

Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.

Duties and r esponsibilities include:
  • Preparing layouts using AutoCAD and Revit from concept sketches to detailed design for industrial projects locally and abroad
  • Assisting in Writing specifications and contract documents
  • Coordinating with other project team members
  • Creating an environment that fosters technical excellence, accuracy and timeliness
  • Promoting a common understanding and commitment to organisational and project objectives


Skills / Qualifications

What will set you apart from other applicants will be previous experience on large mining or industrial projects. Experience with AutoCAD is essential while exposure to Revit is highly regarded.

Role requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proven expertise using AutoCAD
  • Experience using E3D, Revit or Sketch Up Pro will be an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
