Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a People & Organization (Human Resources) Student for the 2023 Fall Semester

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the relevant HR team with planning and delivery of specific work activities
  • Respond to HR inquiries by interpreting policies and procedures
  • Maintain and ensure employee data accuracy
  • Prepare new hire packages and documentation, coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation
  • Perform duties: such as data entry, electronic filing and assist with other HR projects as they arise
  • Assist with scheduling and tracking of employee training and updating tracking database

Skills / Qualifications

Successful candidates should possess the following capabilities /experience:
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and establish a high level of trust and credibility while managing sensitive information
  • Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Self-started with a positive attitude who is comfortable working independently and with a team
  • Previous work term experience in human resources or oil and gas is preferred but not required

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Currently attending a university/college, enrolled in a Business program
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook
