Wood is currently recruiting for a People & Organization (Human Resources) Student for the 2023 Fall Semester
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the relevant HR team with planning and delivery of specific work activities
- Respond to HR inquiries by interpreting policies and procedures
- Maintain and ensure employee data accuracy
- Prepare new hire packages and documentation, coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation
- Perform duties: such as data entry, electronic filing and assist with other HR projects as they arise
- Assist with scheduling and tracking of employee training and updating tracking database
Skills / Qualifications
Successful candidates should possess the following capabilities /experience:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and establish a high level of trust and credibility while managing sensitive information
- Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Self-started with a positive attitude who is comfortable working independently and with a team
- Previous work term experience in human resources or oil and gas is preferred but not required
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Currently attending a university/college, enrolled in a Business program
- Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook
