Lead a team to deliver first class service
As a Chemical Plant Shift Supervisor, you're to supervise day to day activities of the process plants, to ensure smooth and safe operation of a major hazardous installation (MHI). Leading the daily work of employees to ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality programs. Meeting the production objectives as specified by the production scheduler via the production plan.
As a Chemical Plant Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Having overall supervisory responsibility for the operation and housekeeping of the Reaction, Blend, & Utilities Plants.
- Having specific responsibility for the continual training and appraisal of operators. Identification of training and development needs
- Having knowledge of products and/or understanding of QC analysis and knowledge of required transactions performed in SAP.
- Issuing and approving of PTW. Coordinate with maintenance and ensure equipment are in good working condition. Plant is operated within the philosophy of the relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Being responsible for fulfilling individual goals & objectives this includes contributing to the goals and involved in process improvement measures
- Being a part of the On-Site Emergency Response Team

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 3+ years' experience in chemical processing within a multi-purpose batch plant
- Have experience supervising a team of individuals with full understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) Systems
- Have experience working with systematic management systems, ISO9001, 14001, PSM, Permit to Work and MHI
- Have experience of managing the day-to-day requirements regarding the management of personnel, allocating workload and ability to work under pressure
- Have experience of planning and scheduling department workload to meet customer order dates
- Have previous experience of undertaking management responsibilities in relation to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Have planning, organizational, process improvements, problem solving, ability to work to strict deadlines, flexible to approach and willing to learn & develop
- Have experience in SAP and Microsoft Office packages
