INVESTOR RELATIONS OFFICER
Primary Purpose of Job
Handles the investor relations desk for the four QatarEnergy's Privatized Companies (i.e. Industries Qatar (IQ), Gulf International Services (GIS), Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company (MPHC) and Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company (QAMCO)). Ensure effective two-way communication between the privatized companies, and existing or potential shareholders; via implementing IR strategies to target investors (including Asset Managers, Institutional Investors, Corporate & Retail Investors), while performing benchmarking exercises to identify and implement best practices and sourcing information with market movements and expectations, coupled with an extended public exposure and scrutiny.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration with strong academic background. Master's degree (or equivalent) in Economics and Finance is a plus. Advanced certificates in related field (CFA / CMA / CIRO etc.) is an advantage.
Experience & Skills
At least 8+ year experience in investor relations activities, management reporting, business, journalism, corporate strategy or investment consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research analysis etc. Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and being technically minded. Comfortable in understanding financial / performance terminologies. Detail-oriented, structured thinker with strong project management skills. Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information. Advanced knowledge of applicable rules and regulations of Qatar Exchange, Qatar Financial Markets Authority and Qatar Commercial law. Proficient command of English, with Arabic an advantage. Demonstrable ability to transform financial performance details into investor-friendly messages.
