Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently looking for a
Senior Network Engineer to join our Systems Optimisation team in our Perth CBD office with modern end of trip facilities including a free gym. You will be involved in servicing a variety of clients in the energy and mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Team Leadership reporting to group principal
- Technical mentoring and guidance
- Governance of quality, standards, and methodologies
- Client engagement and solutions gathering
- Identification of risks, issues, and fault finding.
- Network Engineering and automation of repeatable tasks
- Technical bid evaluation and SOW and Tender development
- Building networking teams and championing team capability
- Technical fault finding, testing and deployment
- Integration with other engineering disciplines
Note you must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role. Skills / Qualifications - Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic engineering, computer science or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of industry experience in mining and / or oil and gas or relatable industries
- Industry recognised qualifications highly regarded
- Technical hands-on experience with industrial networking equipment from vendors (e.g. Cisco, Siemens, Stratix, Moxa, RuggedCom and Hirschmann)
- Core skills of document writing, standards development, creation and execution of test plans
- Strong demonstratable layer 2, Layer 3 networking knowledge
- Secondary skill set highly desirable (cyber security, server/storage, wireless)
- Strong engineering process and safety ethic
- Pragmatic approach to work
- Strong team member and leader of network engineers
- Mentoring junior and graduate engineers
