Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently looking for a
Network Engineer to join our Systems Optimisation team in our Perth CBD office with modern end of trip facilities including a free gym. You will be involved in servicing a variety of clients in the energy and mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team and learn from the experts.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Industrial network Engineering, fault finding, testing and automation of repeatable tasks
- Implementing methodologies and activities, project documentation and core delivery toolsets for Corporate and Production environments
- Working within a team both autonomously and larger groups
- Building networking capability within the Wood team
- Technical troubleshooting, testing and deployment
- Integration and working within larger engineering teams
Note you must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role. Skills / Qualifications - Qualification in Electrical & Electronic engineering, computer science or a related discipline desirable
- 1 - 5 years of industry relevant experience in mining and / or oil and gas or relatable experience
- Open and pragmatic approach to work activities
- Technical hands-on experience with industrial switching from vendors such as Cisco, Siemens, Stratix, Moxa, RuggedCom and Hirschmann
- Strong demonstratable layer 2, Layer 3 networking knowledge and cyber security skills
- Strong engineering process and safety ethic
- Pragmatic approach to work
- Able to work within a team environment autonomously
- Reporting to line manager or project leader
