Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently looking for a
Senior Industrial Server & Systems Engineer to join our Systems Optimisation team in our Perth CBD office with modern end of trip facilities including a free gym. You will be involved in servicing a variety of clients in the energy and mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team as part of a large international Engineering Consultancy.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Understanding nuances and requirements of industrial and production environments
- Governance of quality, standards and methodologies
- Client engagement and solutions gathering
- Development of architectures of industrial server, storage and workstations
- Technical bid evaluation and SOW and Tender development
- Technical fault finding, testing and deployment
- Integrated working with other OT groups
Note you must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role. Skills / Qualifications - Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic engineering, computer science or equivalent experience in the related discipline
- 5-10 years of industry experience in supporting or developing systems in industrial environments (or equivalent experience)
- Strong and demonstratable understanding of:
- Operating systems
- Licensing
- Virtualisation technologies
- Thin client(s)
- Industry recognised qualifications will be well regarded.
- Technical hands-on experience with server, storage and software build, configuration, and development
- Core skills of document writing, standards development, creation, and execution of test plans
- Secondary skill set highly desirable (cyber security, networking, wireless etc.)
- Strong engineering process and safety ethic
- Strong team member
- Mentoring junior and graduate engineers
