Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Industrial Server & Systems Engineer to join our Systems Optimisation team in our Perth CBD office with modern end of trip facilities including a free gym. You will be involved in servicing a variety of clients in the energy and mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team as part of a large international Engineering Consultancy.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Understanding nuances and requirements of industrial and production environments
  • Governance of quality, standards and methodologies
  • Client engagement and solutions gathering
  • Development of architectures of industrial server, storage and workstations
  • Technical bid evaluation and SOW and Tender development
  • Technical fault finding, testing and deployment
  • Integrated working with other OT groups

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic engineering, computer science or equivalent experience in the related discipline
  • 5-10 years of industry experience in supporting or developing systems in industrial environments (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong and demonstratable understanding of:
    • Operating systems
    • Licensing
    • Virtualisation technologies
    • Thin client(s)
  • Industry recognised qualifications will be well regarded.
  • Technical hands-on experience with server, storage and software build, configuration, and development
  • Core skills of document writing, standards development, creation, and execution of test plans
  • Secondary skill set highly desirable (cyber security, networking, wireless etc.)
  • Strong engineering process and safety ethic
  • Strong team member
  • Mentoring junior and graduate engineers
