Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting Engineers with Tertiary degrees. This is part of our Engineer Graduate Program for our Singapore based operations. This position will commence work in year 2023 and report directly to the Discipline Heads for the relevant engineering disciplines.

New hires will initially be placed in on-job training for a particular discipline depending on their area of study and their expressed interest. On a regular basis, performance evaluation will be done and required support will be provided. At the end of the evaluation period, i.e., upon successful completion, new hires will transition into fully contributing engineers in the respective disciplines on Wood projects.

Should the new hire be unsure of a preferred discipline, they will be placed on multiple disciplines on a rotational basis. Duration and discipline assignment will be decided by management based on the new hire's performance evaluation which is carried out on regular basis. Depending on performance evaluation results, new hires will transition into fully contributing engineers of a particular discipline where he/she excelled or preferred, where applicable.

What you will get involved with:

 

 

  • Broad understanding of your chosen engineering discipline in the EPC setting
  • Inter-discipline coordination and integrated engineering systems
  • Training sessions on relevant topics
  • On-job training in preparation of engineering deliverables such as studies, design calculations, data sheets, material / subcontract requisitions, 3D modeling and layouts
  • Field engineering or construction role at a construction site
  • Inspection and testing of equipment at manufacturer's works
  • Experience in supporting different parts of our global business
  • Interaction with different teams, stakeholders, and clients
  • Opportunity to get to know peers on a global basis and gain exposure to different leaders in the company
  • Fundamentals of health and safety principles
