Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell's Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.

What's the role:

Provide support to Shell's OUs by updating of plant 3D models & drawings through AVEVA E3D drawing management system.

Candidate primarily works on AVEVA P&ID, AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD/MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of electrical, instrumentation, civil structural, mechanical and piping process discipline required for Plant 3D model creation
  • Proficiency in AVEVA 3D modeling with understanding of drafting and quality check process.
  • Read & comprehend the various technical drawings of the process & facilities like P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram), PFDs (Process Flow Diagram) and disciplinary drawings electrical, instrumentation, civil structural, mechanical and piping.
  • Creating 3D modelling using AVEVA E3D tool in different modules like electrical, instrumentation, civil structural, mechanical and piping.
  • Experience in converting laser scan files to intelligent AVEVA E3D modelling.
  • Understand and interpret the corrections & redline mark ups done in the drawings.
  • Troubleshoot the modelling related errors & Implement solution on database related to admin works can be added advantage.
  • 3D model, reports and 2D drawing generations, handling of review tools such as Naviswork freedom/ manager, smart plant review.
  • Understand the completeness and consistency across the entire project for improving quality and reducing rework.
  • Strong knowledge / experience in smart plant electrical (SPEL) / smart plant instrumentation (SPI) can be added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge / experience in smart plant electrical (SPEL) / smart plant instrumentation (SPI) can be added advantage.
  • Execution of quality deliverables, drawing management, process supporting document archiving and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Virtual working with key stakeholders for day to day operations
  • Flexible working hours required to cover multiple time zones
  • Effective initiative to identify and help resolve business and technical issues within areas of responsibility.
  • The role primarily involves the remote support to the Shell operating units/sites in the drawing management & updates.

Job Requirement:
  • Education/Experience: Mechanical/Industrial/ Electrical/ instrumentation / Civil / piping Engineering Degree with at 3-4 years of work experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industry - operating assets and/or a varied range of greenfield/brownfield projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in 3D modelling in AVEVA 3D MODELLER.
  • Electrical/ instrumentation / Civil engineering, design & selection of piping components, comprehending, creating & updating the drawings / 3D models of technical disciplinary drawings viz. P&IDs, Plot Plan etc., in 2D & 3D drawing & drafting tool- Smart Plant P&ID, SP3D, E3D respectively in design, drafting & engineering firms/ consultancy firms/ plant environments/industry past the professional degree/diploma.
  • Experience working on AVEVA P&ID. Strong knowledge of process.
  • Reviewing all the process document
  • Review and prepare disciplinary design deliverables (i.e. Bill of Material, Isometrics and Piping GA Drawings, electrical design drawings such as Cable Block Diagrams, general equipment layouts, Cable Routing layout, piping layouts, foundation and structures).
  • Highly Preferred skills are:
    - A strong knowledge and background of converting the AVEVA suite
    Knowledge in 2D tools such as Auto-cad, MicroStation.
