Montpellier Technology Center (MpTC) is located in the South of France; we develop leading-edge Wellbore & Structural Geology Modeling Software.
In connection with Schlumberger digital centers in Norway, the UK, the US, China and India, our innovation activities span from high precision wellbore logs to high volume seismic data, from automated real-time systems to large scale reservoir simulation.

Job Summary:
S LB is developing a digital solution for tool predictive maintenance . It consists in a collection of Python modules, data science algorithms, Dataiku workflows, ML models and PowerBI dashboards providing maintenance teams insights to predict failures. The position offered in Montpellier consists in enriching the current solution with new features as well as industrializing works done by data scientists, usually in the form of Python modules or workflows executed in the cloud or Dataiku and whose outputs will be consumed by other applications.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
As part of the development journey, the candidate will have to architecture and develop Python modules and Dataiku workflows in close collaboration with maintenance teams and data scientists.
Application inputs and outputs will usually be SQL tables, so strong knowledge of database architecture and API are required .
The candidate needs to be proficient in English to document and interact with other team members, mainly based in Montpellier, Clamart and Pune (India).
The candidate also needs to be able to quickly grasp the project context and have enough knowledge to become autonomous on his/her tasks.
Previous experience on predictive maintenance as well as appetite for scientific computing is very welcome.
As the mission will lead the candidate to use basic features of PowerBI and BigQuery , strong adaptability skills are required .

- 3+ years of experience in back-end development with Python
- Experience with Dataiku
- Experience with SQL database
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (ENGLISH)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as CI/CD, Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with MLOps , PowerBi and Data Science is a plus.
