Mission
-Co-ordinate the implementation of the Environmental Management Plans at site during project execution phases according to the Company Environmental guidelines and standards
-Ensure the management of Environmental issues for the site / field
-Promote environmental initiatives at site and project level.
Tasks
-Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System at site in compliance with Contractor and Company requirements;
- Ensure, together with the relevant technical Functions, the implementation of Company strategies for GHGs/Climate change and energy management at site
- Manage the relevant environmental permits and monitor application;
- Develop Specific Environmental Plans/Procedures (i.e. Waste/Chemical/Water Management Plan, etc.), and monitor implementation;
- Ensure protection of sensitive areas;
- Develop spill prevention and response plan, monitor its implementation and ensure the implementation of the environmental emergency exercises/drills program;
- Ensuring compliance with noise and air quality requirements
- Establishing an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of operations;
- Take part in incident investigation;Oversee construction activities on a regular basis through inspections/walkthroughs/audits
- Support Construction Manager/Site Manger in pollution prevention issues and collaborate with him to ensure fulfilment of all requirements;
-Monitor SUBCONTRACTOR's Site activities and their compliance with Project EMS;
- Organize environmental training sessions and deliver trainings to Site workforce;
- Ensure collection and management of lessons learned and identification of opportunities for improvement;
- Prepare reports and statistics of the site environmental performance.
