Design Authorities are accountable for creating and enabling the technology vision that articulates the IT response to Shell's business mission and respective strategic priorities. They lead, develop and champion the key attributes of the business strategy, its priorities, critical success factors and culture across its respective portfolio, and operates effectively within it. They understand and drive the processes necessary to keep in proximity with business developments. They build effective working relationships to understand business drivers as well as how to create and enable significant business value.

What's the role?

This role is to take ownership of Shell's solution design for all use cases that will be modelled on the SAP Profitability & Performance Management (PaPM) platform. This includes the production of intelligent and consistent designs, supporting remediation of design gaps and driving continuous process improvement.

You will have the followinAccountabilities:
  • Ensuring all PaPM solutions conforming to Shell standards and reference architecture
  • Designing and active participation in testing and deployment of all PaPM solutions
  • Being able to address and integrate business processes, data requirements, and legal/fiscal requirements within these solutions
  • Ensure solution design is documented using the relevant templates & tooling, and conform to Shell standards
  • Coach business analysts during design work
  • Following IT developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in designing future-proof solutions
  • Staying in touch with development of standards within Shell
  • Pro-actively contributing to the development of Shell's S/4 Product Management community, interacting with senior stakeholders as required

  • Direct Tax Provisioning
  • Complex Allocations
  • Calculation of complex KPI's
  • Carbon-related reporting
  • Cost recharging models (with integration to Blackline Intercompany Hub)


What we need from you

We are keen to hear from the candidates with below skill set:
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, especially in the Finance area
  • Experience with Business Process modelling from a functional perspective
  • Ability to work to aggressive timelines
  • Substantial IT and project management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credible, sustainable relationships with employees and contractors across the organization
  • Skilled in being able to influence others without formal authority to deliver desired results
  • Ability to working within a large, virtual and multi-cultural and disciplined team
