Primary Purpose of Job
• BSc or HND in Mechanical, Environmental or Marine - related disciplines. • Certified to IMO level - Management of Oil Spill Incidents. • Trained in NEBOSH, IOSH or other internationally recognised safety standards.
Experience & Skills
• Thorough knowledge of International codes of practices, procedures and the ability to be guided into applying them to specific applications. • High proficiency in the use of relevant PC software packages ensuring accuracy of recorded information. • Ability to guide QatarEnergy management in understanding the full potential of an incident and resolve conflicts with other parties present. • Good knowledge of company management systems and procedures. • Medically fit to work for prolong periods in arduous conditions both offshore and onshore, whilst also setting an example as to the level of fitness required. • Good communication and high leadership skills at all levels and technical standards. Good written and spoken English. • Have an operational awareness of their alternates' base enabling the provision of cover during extended responses. • Good management skills are essential for this position. • 10 year oil pollution response experience both on and offshore.
