Candidate would be responsible for conducting new product developments (NPD) for
Carbon Capture. Areas of NPD include process development, equipment development, digital technology development, and etc.

Experience in acid-gas treatment and Carbon Capture desired.The job involves both desktop engineering studies and development, and hands-on lab and field work. This role is highly technical, and also requires project management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: - Formulate the NPD project objectives, technical scope and requirements
- Determine the development steps, deliverables, and milestones, with a clear pathway to commercialization.
- Estimate the development schedule, resources, and costs.
- Conduct FEED level engineering studies.
- Develop the test matrix.
- Design and build the testing apparatus.
- Detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, start up, and operation of large scale pilot plants.
- Perform the tests
- Analyze the testing results and draw conclusions
- Transform the NPD results to engineering products
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders
- Write technical reports and publications
- Give presentations and trainings
Requirements: - A successful candidate needs to have a strong drive to develop something new, and a desire to roll-up the sleeves and follow through the details of the development work.
- *Experience in acid-gas treatment and Carbon Capture desired.
- Chemical engineer with background in amine acid gas treatment and glycol gas dehydration.
- Experiences in process engineering and project engineering in EPC projects.
- Experiences in plant commissioning, startup, operations, maintenance, and services.
- Solid fundamental engineering knowledge and scientific understanding in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, mass transfer, heat transfer, chemical reaction kinetics, modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding in designing test matrix, test apparatus, and pilot plants.
- Ability to develop engineering calculation methods that can be applied by other engineers to design process and equipment.
- Operational level of knowledge and experiences in process controls and process equipment.
- Hands-on experiences in running process simulators such as HYSYS and ProMax. Experiences in running VMG Symmetry is desirable.
- Skills in verbal and written communications including but not limited to presentations and technical reports.
- Capability in project management.
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university. Graduate degree is preferred with minimum 5 years direct experience.
