JOB SUMMARY: Rig Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the mechanical equipment.

PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
  • 1+ years' experience as a Rig Mechanic on 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • 2+ years' experience with AKMH, MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
  • Structured and organized mindset
  • High level of integrity
  • Analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Perform maintenance and repair work as well as fault-finding work on mechanical equipment
  • Comply with proper maintenance procedures in accordance with Odfjell's maintenance program
  • Update drawings of mechanical systems (P&ID) whenever changes are made.
  • Responsible for mechanical workshop w/equipment.
  • Observe to uncover any non-compliance and immediately report these to his superior.
  • Participate in the emergency preparation organization as per muster list.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all work is done safely and professionally and actively take part in safety meetings and other meetings.
  • Emergency duties according to the unit's emergency organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
