Overview / Responsibilities Wood is seeking a highly experienced Pipeline Operator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline system, including monitoring pressure and flow, identifying potential issues, and performing regular maintenance and repairs.
Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday.
Location: The area of responsibility covers southern Louisiana and southeastern TX. Upon request, the candidate may be required to provide assistance in other operational districts.

- Monitor pipeline pressure and flow rates to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Identify potential issues and take corrective action, such as adjusting valves or shutting down the system
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pipeline equipment, including pumps, compressors, and valves
- Use SCADA systems to monitor and control pipeline operations
- Maintain accurate records of all pipeline activities, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Communicate with other team members and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and safe pipeline operations
- Comply with all relevant safety regulations and protocols, and actively promote a culture of safety within the team
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills
- Respond to emergency situations, including pipeline leaks or spills, in a timely and effective manner
Skills / Qualifications Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline operations or a related field
- Strong understanding of pipeline systems and equipment, including pumps, compressors, and valves
- Experience with SCADA systems and other pipeline control software
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and external stakeholders
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
