Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting for a
Principal Electrical Engineer (Focal Point) to join our team in Perth. T his is permanent full-time role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to a new and significant brownfield engineering opportunity with a major player in the LNG industry.
Wood "Operations" delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers with operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Kazakhstan.
As a Principal Electrical Engineer with relevant d esign expertise in brownfield oil and gas projects , you will be reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Lead and working collaboratively across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery.
Taking the lead on some of the world's most technically complex brownfields Oil & Gas projects for the Electrical Engineering group, you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities.

Skills / Qualifications You must have full Australian work rights and reside in Australia to be considered for this role at this time. Relocation package available for interstate. In addition, you will be s uitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution and have:
- In-depth technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering - design and operation
- Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards - international and Australian
- Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical and commercial requirements
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Proven experience managing teams of Engineers
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with proven experience in client facing roles
