As a Wellsite Operation Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
• Leads and ensures Baker Hughes and industry safety culture at the wellsite's and in the office. Ensures safe and accident/incident free operations.
• Leads and participates in HSE related event investigations and follows-up on remedial actions.
• Ensures safety management and leadership at the wellsite.
• Implements and ensures compliance of HSE Emergency Response Systems.
• Promotes and coaches the implementation of HSE and service delivery management systems.
• Ensures all business activities are in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Core Values.
• Provides direct instruction and supervision to the Integrated Solutions Wellsite Supervisors on day-to-day regarding wellsite activities and operations.
• Manages skilled application of drilling engineering and well planning, drill string design and downhole dynamics, pore pressure/fracture pressure determination, drilling fluid management, hydraulics, drill bit selection.
• Supports preparation of the operation budget and utilization forecast.
• Supports and advises in planning maintenance jobs to be carried out. Monitors rigs and equipment inspection schedules as per Standards and Procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring that policies, standards, and procedures are implemented and understood for the wellsite operations assigned.
• Ensures well control best practices are followed as per industry standard, client, and Baker Hughes requirements.
• Has advanced understanding of directional drilling including horizontal and Extended Reach wells, cementing, casing/liner running, and fishing.
• Has advanced understanding of Rig Systems and Rig Floor Operations.
• Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line tool(s) and/or services and wellsite operations.
• Coordinates several rigs simultaneously.
• Supports implementation of new technologies and processes in rig operations.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
• Provides advice and direction to customers and third-party wellsite resources as appropriate.
• Ensures rigs under supervision operate in accordance with contractual obligations and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Acts as front-line training coach and assessor for rig personnel
• Appraises the training needs of the field personnel and makes recommendations to management to allow the necessary training to be provided.
• Supports and implements the Competency System for senior positions and identifies areas of strength and development.
• Assessor for the field supervisors in line with the competency system.
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years as a Wellsite Leader
•Is comfortable working on a rotational schedule and being located on the rig site
• Ability to influence others and leading teams
• Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability
• Comprehensive knowledge of well control best practices and procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge about Field Service operations, installation, and maintenance operations
• Competency to plan, problem solve, organize, direct and control wellsite operations
• Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across multiple Product Lines, functions, external parties
