Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for Lead and Slickline Operators with experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, to work within the team in Equatorial Guinea.

.

Working as part of a Slickline team, operating the Slickline winch and coordinating the activities/work to be done. Work scope covers the preparation of Slickline tools and equipment (including maintenance) safe rig up of Slickline lubricator and other required for the execution of various downhole Slickline works both for the routine and non-routine operations.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside Slickline Assistants and completes on the job evaluations.
  • Operating the Slickline winch to work downhole to manipulate various of Slickline equipment/tools to execute various Slickline programs and reservoir management works i.e. Zone Change, Gas lift Valve Change, Fishing, Running and Pulling Plugs, SCSSV, Bottom Hole Pressure Survey, Sand Bailing and many more.
  • Have knowledge on Camco, Baker, Petroline, Otis, PCE of Slickline down hole tools. Able to know Slickline completion down accessories.
  • Crew shall ensure all daily slickline operations on production and workover operations in a safe and efficient manner according to international standards and Company specific rules\policy and guidelines
  • Daily reporting of activities.
  • Support with job design, including preparing PCE and BHA schematics.
  • Bottom hole memory pressure & temperature surveys with downhole gauges.
  • Gas-lift valve installations, change-out and redressing of Dummies, Orifices and Venturi valves
  • Tubing drifting and top sediment checks, bailer runs for sediment samples
  • Well plugging and un-plugging
  • Back pressure valve setting and retrieving
  • Wellhead valves greasing as per WIMS procedures with the Production Operator representative
  • Sleeve opening/closing for zone change, etc.
  • Flow control interventions
  • Running, setting, retrieving down hole safety valves
  • Memory Production Logging (including Memory GR correlations) deployment with slickline
  • Assistance during completion operations for tubing testing, tubing control, control line installation, etc.
  • Slickline assistance during well completion and stimulation
  • Tubing perforation or tubing cut (Explosive and Mechanical services): String shot, pipe cutter to cut tubing, tubing puncher. Contractor must be able to provide a range of service and tools for these operations.
  • Advise for any additional request of equipment, materials and services as may be required by Company in connection with the future operations.
  • Maintenance and redressing of flow control equipment and any equipment used for operation
  • Keep updated inventory and ensure to have tools ready for operations and available spare parts for all equipment
  • perform daily maintenance on Slickline equipment and tools and to keep equipment in proper conditions
  • to prepare and assist for PCE yearly testing and certifications, and 5-year major certifications when required.
  • Operation to be performed accordingly to "Company General Slickline Operations" & "Company Specific Slickline Guidelines" Procedures
  • Redress of slickline tools owned by the Company.
  • Fishing with slickline


Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school technical diploma or equivalent formal qualification
  • Fully experienced as a slickline professional in the offshore oil and gas industry

Industry Experience and knowledge:
  • HSE related experiences
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Personal Attributes:
  • Competent in communicating in English language, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment alongside other technical disciplines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
