Job Duties:
  • This is an apprentice role for training.
  • This role introduces employees to the Tubing Conveyed Perforating operation and services, which includes an introduction into handling and using explosives according to regulatory guidelines.
  • This position concentrates on shop operations with limited exposure to well site operations.
  • Learns basic TCP operations to include but not limited to: 1) preparing and maintaining equipment in workshop for shipping to the next job, 2) job preparation for the rig up and down for a job, 3) maintaining and operating auxillary TCP support equipment (i.e., rental tools, etc.) and (6) use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Journey Management, Job Safety Analysis (JSA's), Permit to Work System (PTW), Hazard Observation Check (HOC Cards), Toolbox Meetings, Safety Huddles, Local Area requirements, and (7) completing TCP prerequisite training (essential tools, essential math (as needed), essential red book, and oilfield primer, and Explosives Safety training and Radioactive Feed Training).
  • Will learn to assist in rigging up and down of Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) service line equipment.
  • Will learn to assist with TCP equipment assembly and preparation for installation and service.
  • Will learn to assist in the running of a job and in the clean up, repair, and preparation for the next job.
  • Will learn to load guns with explosive charges.
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
  • Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
  • Completes requisite training following the Company's learning development system and processes.


Qualifications:
  • Skills typically acquired through completion of high school or similar education.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for background/criminal check to attain an explosives license.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
  • Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
  • Must be able to work a rotational schedule of 14 days on/14 days off 13-16 hours/day.
