JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

Establish and manage a comprehensive and effective integrate wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks for Company ensuring all risks (including, reputational, operational, etc.) are effectively managed within the defined risk appetite and government regulations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Corporate Strategy

Develop and execute the Department long-term strategic plan in alignment with the corporate strategies.

Develop annual business plans for the Department and ensure the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.

Report to the CSO on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, opportunities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to make an informed decision.

Manage and continuously monitor the performance of the Department to ensure performance deviations are identified in a timely manner, and required resources and actions are implemented to meet performance targets.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Manage the development and implementation of an integrated risk management framework in line with business requirements across Company to meet regulatory requirements.

Lead the development, seek approval and oversee the implementation of a clear statement of Company overall risk appetite.

Evaluate Company risk profile relative to the company's overall risk appetite and make recommendations to accept, reject or mitigate risk or amend the risk appetite to control the risk and/or improve the risk-return performance of Company especially from the process safety management perspectives.

Ensure the design, development and implementation of appropriate systems and necessary models to calculate overall and specific risk exposure and their impact on the organisation's strategy.

Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, prioritise and minimise key business risks through the implementation of contemporary risk management practices.

Reassess risks and mitigation controls periodically to ensure that risk ratings reflect the latest status and controls, which are effective and efficient in design and operation.

Establish a process of risk monitoring using early warning signals, and lead the effective administration of the same to facilitate successful and proactive risk management across all of Company operations.

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

Manage the development and implementation of an integrated business continuity management (BCM)framework in line with business requirements across Company to meet standards of good practice and regulatory requirements.

Ensure the scope of application of the BCM process is aligned to Company vision, mission and values company strategy and overall risk appetite.

Conceptualize, plan, implement and monitor the BCM system, helping the business select suitable, feasible and cost effective solutions and methodologies to support organisational resilience.

Facilitate execution of Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment and development of Business Continuity Plans and Strategies aligned to the scope of the BCM system.

Ensure integration of Business Continuity related disciplines and related plans (Emergency Response Crisis Management & Communications, Business Recovery, IT Disaster Recovery).

Establish, deliver and manage a comprehensive BCM training & awareness program.

Develop and deliver BCP testing plan utilising various types of exercises for validation of business continuity strategies / plans against identified interruption scenarios. Report lessons learned, propose recommendations and monitor implementation.


Risk Culture

Manage the establishment of a culture of intelligent risk-taking through increased awareness and use of advanced risk management practices such as educational programs, training process and personal mentoring with senior management and other employees as needed.

Change Management

Identify and manage implementation of change initiatives on systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practices', and/or other changes in the business environment.


Policies, System, Processes and Procedures

Manage the development and implementation of Departmental policies, systems, processes and procedures in order to ensure operational excellence.

Identify and manage the implementation of improvements to ensure compliance with Company standards and regulatory requirements that are aligned to business needs to increase operational effectiveness.


Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety, process safety management and delivery of high quality products/services.

Management Reporting

Ensure that departmental regular and ad-hoc reports are prepared in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner to meet business reporting requirements and standards and provide insight to facilitate sound decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education

Required : (Qualification1 / Discipline): Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering or Risk Management.

Preferred: (Qualification1 / Discipline): Master's degree in Risk Management or Business Administration or Finance.


Required (Years2 / Job Level3 / Industry) : Total of 10 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 5 years at a Mid- Management level.

Languages:
Required ( Language / Level4): English - Proficient
Preferred (Language / Level4): Arabic - working knowledge
