About The Role

The expeditor is required to expedite delivery of material and documentation.
 
Duties -
  • Understanding of the supplier delivery obligations from the agreed terms and conditions
  • Review and interpret supplier production plans/schedules,
  • Identify delivery improvement opportunities and negotiate delivery improvements / slippage recovery plans
  • Creation of expediting reports
  • Strategise and plan expediting activities
  • Expediting of purchase orders daily with priority focus
  • Updating of Procurement Status Reports with the expediting status of Purchase Orders
  • Manage several client project expediting requirements and report accordingly
  • Attend/ manage weekly project status review meetings
  • Continually set expediting follow up dates
  • Review expediting reports to confirm status of orders, sub-orders and validate the agreed manufacturing schedules
  • Monitor the progress of receipt and return of supplier technical documentation.
  • Notifying Procurement Lead/ Supply Chain Manager of any potential schedule slippages
  • Negotiate improved delivery / recovery plans where required
  • Visit suppliers on request of the Procurement Lead/ Supply Chain Manager
  • Understands, works, and fully adheres to the Expediting Procedure

About You

 
We would like you to have a minimum of 3 standard grades at grade 3 or higher or equivalent with demonstrable experience in a similar role. Suitable candidates will be competent in the use of MS Office applications with excellent written and spoken English.
