SR. ANALYST, CARBON ACCOUNTING

Primary Purpose of Job
To ensure QatarEnergy has the necessary expertise and awareness for robust accounting of Greenhouse Gas emissions

Education
Bachelor Degree qualification in Engineering/Environmental or equivalent degree Extensive knowledge of carbon emissions accounting, modelling, emissions mitigation and alternative technologies, reporting and policies.

Experience & Skills
Should preferably have in-depth knowledge and expertise in methodologies for life cycle and well-to-wheel accounting of carbon emissions including experience of using relevant databases, creating, using and maintaining models • Good network with industry SMEs and academic experts in the field highly desirable • Understanding of greenhouse gas emissions reporting standards, TCFD recommendations in context to implementation in oil & gas industry. • Additional / higher qualifications in the specialized field will be an advantage. • Minimum of 8 years overall experience and 5 years proven professional experience in oil and gas industry in relevant disciplines • Experienced in the preparation of standards, procedures and reports • Ideal candidate will have analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving, leadership skills and decision-making skills
