Where You Fit In The Technical & HSSE Learning Advisor reports to the Learning Solutions Manager for Malaysia and is responsible in managing the HSSE competency and assurance training which are critical for frontline staff and contractors working in assets and facilities. The job scope will include collaborating with key stakeholders in HSSE, Production, Maintenance, and Projects on the HSSE training needs and requirements for frontline personnel to perform their work safely in compliance with Shell standards. The Learning Solutions team also collaborates in partnership with external HSSE training providers in providing HSSE training courses to meet the HSSE training requirements for the Oil and Gas industry.
The Role As the Technical & HSSE Learning Advisor, you will be responsible for the following accountabilities:
- Deliver the PTW Applicant and Management training including e-PTW for staff and contractors which are conducted online and virtually
- Deliver the MME training and assessment for staff who are in HSSE critical role as Site Emergency Controller (SEC)
- Deliver the CRO Emergency Response training and assessment for Control Room Operators (CRO)
- Provide support to staff with HSSE critical roles in their competency and assurance which are integrated in the FLBM system
- Collaborate with HSSE and Assets to review and assess the HSSE training needs and requirements
- Collaborate with HSSE SMEs/Focal Points in the review and revision of the HSSE training competency and requirements
- Collaborate with external HSSE training providers on assessment and delivery of HSSE training in compliance with Shell standards
- Collaborate with SC in partnership with HSSE training providers to review the offering and price agreement for HSSE training courses
- Focal point in the running and maintenance of the learning center/facilities and training workshop
- Support team effectiveness and leadership program development and delivery
- Any other tasks as and when necessary
What We Need from You - Minimum 10 years of experience from an Oil and Gas background is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, or Process)
- Ability to communicate effectively across cultural styles and levels of seniority
- A strong curiosity to learn and an ability to be inclusive and collaborative
