Ownership & Mastery of IT application(s). Leadership in systems and processes, project execution, interactions with the business, development and other stakeholders and application solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL CAPABILTY

 

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on Oracle Cloud HR Solution. Will be responsible for understanding business requirements working with designated business leaders. Able to guide business community on configuration options in cloud product. Comes up with Innovative Solutions to Non Configurable Items with workable Work arounds that help business meet objectives. Works with Development team to identify any On top changes needed to Cloud Application using tools provided by cloud provider to help create highest cost benefit to WFRD and business community evaluating multiple choices
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems | Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements | Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems | Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Specializes in HR with ability to address all sub areas within HR including Hiring/Talent/Mobility
  • Non-specialized functional area duties:
    • Cross-train in all disciplines to deliver expert-level support via projects
    • Take direction from the designated specialist in a functional area as required
  • Specialized functional area duties:
    • Projects
    • Developments; including Quarterly Releases
    • Strategy and solutioning; including risk identification & mitigation
    • Helping design/enhance security roles within application
    • Overnight job scheduling
    • Level 3 support; including SQL approvals
    • Documentation - Quick Reference Cards (QRCs), A-Z Technical Docs, etc.
    • Key Business Contact (KBC) relationship including the melding of business processes with IT processes
    • Continuous process improvement
    • Provide input and estimates to during Work Engagement Form (WEF) and Initiation phases of a project.
    • Evaluates new business requirements and recommends appropriate systems configuration changes/alternatives/ enhancements to current systems. Work with SME's, manager and team to arrive at an integrated, high-level solution proposal for estimating.
    • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. Work with SME's, manager and team to arrive at an integrated, high-level solution proposal for estimating.
    • Complete all required PMO documentation including creating detailed Business Requirements, Technical Requirements, Business Case and Functional Solution documentation as required.
    • Provide estimates and help construct project schedules based upon those estimates.
    • Coordinate project gate changes with Project Manager and/or MFG & DIST IT MGR in advance of IT Leadership Team (ITLT) meetings.
    • Present solution to key business stakeholders to solicit agreement on solution, scope, budget and timeline.
    • As required, present projects to the ITLT for gate reviews or provide updates.
    • Use high-level solution proposal from Research & Planning phase to build out milestones and incremental steps to execute by interacting with developers, development manager and other key SMEs to arrive at detailed plan.
    • Lead project execution while providing direction to additional team members supporting the project.
    • Create TFS Requirements for Bug Fixes and Enhancements (AMS team owns test script creation and testing for Qtr Release)
    • Prioritize Bug Fixes; coordinate with KBCs to prioritize Enhancements
    • Direct and review activities of AMS team testing the Quarterly Release. Review all test results.
    • Perform TFS testing for all project-related changes.
    • Approve TFS requirements for production & attend promotion meetings from the Development Manager.
    • Handle all Change Management elements:
      • Ensure AMS support team is properly trained for any new functionality.
      • Quarterly Release has proper notes updating users on changes.
      • Training/demonstration recordings to supplement change as required.
      • Help train all group team members on new functionality.
    • Overall governance of your area of specialization
    • Projects Initiation phase of project:
    • Projects Research & Planning phase of a project:
    • Projects Execution Phase
    • Developments - Quarterly Releases and Project related
    • Qsoft & Other Security
      • Add all new Objects to an appropriate security component
      • Create/change security components as required
      • Establish and administer Special Authority security components as necessary. (Defer ownership to the business for any non-setup security component.)

 


CLIENT COMMUNICATION

 

 

  • Coordinate all discussions with required business stakeholders and resource managers for understanding, solving and estimating new projects.
  • Apply communications & negotiations skills. Escalate where necessary but primarily seek buy-in from stakeholders to ensure changes happen with the least amount of conflict and a high-level of awareness by affected stakeholders.
  • Coordintate with Service Desk all change management as explained in 'Developments' section above.

 


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT

 

 

  • Assist in cross-training team members as appropriate.
  • Lead project execution while providing direction to additional team members supporting the project.
  • Direct AMS resources as indicated below.

 


Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in a Business, Computer Science or Engineering area.
• Minimum of three to five years related experience working with Oracle Cloud HR in technical/functional role with hands on experience in configuring HR system.
• In Depth knowledge of business processes used in a Cloud einvornment as relates to HR department
• Prior experience of working in a multinational organization is essential.

PREFFERED
• Foreign language skills, particularly Spanish. Italian, or German a benefit as well.
• Experience working as an IT Analyst Supporting Cloud HR Product

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HR functional (or similiar HR system, i.e. Workday, Peoplesoft v9.2) and technical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and comply with strict deadlines.
• Self-directing, independent, pro-active execution of tasks.
• Creative problem solver able to compose solutions that are multi-disciplined, cross software platforms and address both business and technical requirements.
• Strong organization skills to process fast-paced streams of incoming requests, prioritize the work, escalate and delegate as required and execute while balancing expections from multiple stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to routinely produce high-quality technical documentation. Project a very positive, customer-service-oriented attitude. Able to exercise sound business judgment and discretion - maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Comfortable working in a "matrix-management" environment with numerous indirect and project team reporting relationships.
• Should be detail oriented and have the ability to produce high quality work products.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
• General knowledge of Visio, MS Project.
• Team player with ability to build strong relationship with stakeholders.

PREFFERED
• Ability to read and understand Oracle Cloud Releases with their impact to Weatherford implemented Cloud environment
• Extensive knowledge of HR processes.
