About the role:

Weatherford Roma, QLD is currently hiring for a Senior Wireline Field Operator due to operation/ business expansion. This position participates in well site logging to obtain accurate borehole information as per Weatherford client specifications.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Lift, handle, make up and dress, rig up, rig down logging tools.
  • Drive logging trucks and other vehicles to well sites, for service or as required.
  • Keep truck fuelled, maintaining truck history books, serviced & complete pre-departure checks.
  • Clean and service equipment after jobs.
  • Handle and make up equipment for calibrations.
  • Assist in repair and maintenance operations.
  • Keep cable head and cable serviced.
  • Maintain tool service reports, labelling tools with current status.
  • Present a professional service attitude to the customer.
  • Fill out service reports, failure reports and well reports.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Possess Heavy Rigid (HR) Driving license
  • Good mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Be available for prolonged field work as required

These roles are predominately based in Roma locations working a 3 weeks on/2 weeks off roster. Long distance travel may be required between work locations. It is essential you hold a Manual Drivers Licence with a good driving record and be available for on call work.
