- Must be able to repair company electrical equipment and automation systems
- Must be able to use electric meters that measure voltage, amperage and 4-20mA signals
- Must be able to read electrical schematics
- Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain 12 and 24 DC volt systems along with low voltage AC systems from 120 V to 480 V
- Must be able to perform emergency repairs when needed
- Must be able to be on call
- Knowledge of all cable types
- Must be able to build cables
- Must be able to solder
- Must know control systems
- Must be able to troubleshoot control systems
- Must know communication basics of Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP and Profibus
- Must be able to calibrate, replace and troubleshoot all sensors on equipment
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
- Must be able to set up IP addresses
- Must understand variable frequency drives (VFD's) and how they function
- Must be able to program VFD's and set up communications with PLC
- Must understand basics of PLC's and HMI's and be able to check communications between them
- Must have a valid driver's license
