ABOUT THE ROLE

Weatherford Roma, QLD is currently looking for WIRELINE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (Cased Hole) Supervise the running of the wireline location in all aspects related to field operations and implementation of wireline processes, policies, standards and procedures, under direction of a superior function. Further responsibilities include ensuring personnel are trained and competent to perform specific wireline related tasks, client liaison, operational planning and optimization, health and safety, quality control and maintenance / calibration of equipment. The Field Supervisor will also play a key role in the development of the business at the location; this is the most senior semi-field position in the PL and is the first step to assuming management control of location. This role will also foster and maintain customer relations by establishing a positive image, present attitude and appearance such as to enhance the Business Unit's image and promote Customer relations. Likewise, the Operations Supervisor (Cased Hole) will give and take instructions, initiate and actively participates in problem solving procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

  1. Demonstrates fundamental Safety & Quality Leadership while in charge of the business unit sector or product line, ensuring personal accountability across all levels
  2. Implements and ensures compliance to safety process and protocols as directed by the PL and Country Structure, regularly holds / participates in safety meetings, Opportunities for Improvement and the Weatherford Safe Start program
  3. When required, participates and represents the PL on management meetings at location level, ensuring that agreed actions are also rolled out to all personnel
  4. Ensures there is adequate coverage of personnel and equipment for projected levels of activity. Plans field operations with assigned engineers, and provides direction and recommendations to ensure high quality services
  5. Monitors the status of field jobs, and provides immediate assistance in handling failures or solving technical difficulties
  6. Maintains close client contact and communication on matters of service quality and keeps up to date on client's proposed activities, ensuring regular service quality reviews are held and documented
  7. Coordinates with assigned engineers and electronic technicians for the management of tool and equipment preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs, and ensures all field and workshop personnel follow
  8. preventative maintenance procedures, and ensures that all NCRs are followed up to closure with Root Cause Analyses.
  9. Ensures adherence to safety regulations by all personnel, and regularly holds and participates in safety meetings
  10. Ensures implementation to and compliance with the Wireline Standard Operating Procedures
  11. Holds systematic debriefing sessions with field crews to ensure that all personnel and equipment are fit for purpose as per the planning requirements of the particular operation
  12. Hold systematic debriefing sessions with field crews to correct deficiencies, improve service, and ensure the delivery of a quality service
  13. Evaluates the quality, proficiency and efficiency of field operations by regular well site visits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and conducts analysis of reports and log quality control
  14. Participates in Annual Technical Systems Audits to ensure that Wireline and Country Systems are effectively implemented, such Audits will be led by a supporting authority
  15. Ensures prompt and efficient reporting and administration according to Company, policies and regulations, including financial, operational and QHSSE
  16. Assists the Country Manager / PL Manager / Field Operations Manager in maintaining clear and open lines of communication and employee morale
  17. Ensures that personnel are aware of the latest developments for logging equipment, including the distribution of Operations Letters
  18. Ensures that critical information on technical and safety issues is distributed throughout his change of command, promoting regular meetings to ensure all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities on operational matters and the continuous improvement of the location

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience in Wireline Service in a Supervisor capacity for atleast 4 - 5 years
  • Must have at least achieved the rank of Senior Field Engineer
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Understand fundamental math and physics
  • Understand principles of electricity
  • Available 24/7 with scheduled days off
  • Good computer skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Engineering or Geology degree
  • Weatherford Safety training
  • Weatherford certificates of completion for Radiation, Explosives and Pressure Control
  • The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
  • Willingness to work under varying conditions and in remote locations
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Positive attitude towards health, safety and the environment

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of windows based systems
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability
  • At least 4 Years previous Wireline experience
  • Experience or knowledge of operating in the Oil & Gas industry

 

MOBILISATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Based in Roma, QLD
  • 3 weeks on, 2 weeks of roster
  • Must have permanent work rights in Australia
