Position: HSE Specialist - Drilling
Job type: 14/14 rotational contract - long term project
Location: North Dakota
Petroplan is currently working alongside a Houston based E&P Operator who require a number of HSE Advisors to join their operations team focused on drilling HSE within their North Dakota team.
In this position, you will provide onsite leadership and guidance to workers to effectively manage work-task cycles from planning, execution and dynamic risk control, and After-Action Reviews. Key challenges will include:
- Ensuring all Pre-job Planning Tasks are properly conducted by the work crews to include, but not limited to: Identification of a PIC, Work Scope Clearly Defined, Pre-job Walk downs are performed; H. Corporation Rules considered and appropriately managed; JSAs are developed and coordinated with all work team members; applicable permits to work are in place; SSEs are properly managed by on-site mentors; emergency actions are discussed, and all start-work checks have been accomplished, to include all necessary inspections.
- Participating in all Safety Severe / Hi-Po incident investigations; works with suppliers to address causal factors; provides recommended countermeasures and provides visibility to senior leadership on implementation.
- Providing effective leadership to direct reports; provides mentorship and guidance to workers and provides feedback on the completion of work activities
The ideal candidate will be an experienced oilfield safety leader with a good working knowledge and understanding of Drilling operations. The right candidate for this role will be able to show excellent leadership skills and be able to work with the operations team alongside ongoing projects to continually improve the safety standards in the field.
