Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has a requirement for a Graduate Engineer to join our Intelligent Operations team in Perth as part of our 2024 intake. To be considered you should have some knowledge and / or awareness of flow assurance, process simulation and CFD. You should also have a good fundamental understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will primarily be tasked to perform flow assurance activities under the supervision of a more senior team member and will gain proficiency in leading industry technologies. You will also provide specialist hands on engineering input to the project activities starting from the screening studies up to the completion of the execution phase.

We are open to applications from candidates with entry level experience looking to build a future in Intelligent Operations.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Gain proficiency in Leading industry technologies including Wood's in-house Process and Flow Assurance Modelling tools and packages
  • Support the project team in developing simulation models and perform thermo hydraulic analysis utilising the models developed
  • Write clear and concise deliverable design basis documentation and summary reports
  • Deliver scopes within the agreed project schedule
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with the company quality management system
  • Ensure that project objectives assigned by the Team Lead and Client are achieved
  • Support other work as may be required. This may include but not be limited to studies, research, developmental work or work of a related nature

Skills / Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • A recognised qualification in any of the following, or combination of:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Data Science
  • Exposure to modelling tools and packages such as OLGA / Pipenet / TGNET / Multiflash / HYSYS / UniSim, Ansys CFX & Fluent, etc. would be seen as an advantage
  • Programming / coding (VBA, python, etc.) and data analytics skills (advantageous)
