We are seeking a Reservoir Simulator Development User Support to join the Strategic Modeling Technology Division (SMT) under the Petroleum Engineering & Development organization (PE&D).
SMT is developing the next generation parallel reservoir and basin simulator for Saudi Aramco, which aims to handle gigantic hydrocarbon reservoirs with sufficient spatial resolution.
The incumbent will be responsible for liaising between the development team and users , informing developers for the new options requested by the users , testing the latest codes developed by the developers, benchmarking the new code and providing feedback to the development team.
The incumbent will be working with a diverse scientific team located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
• Laisse between the development team and the simulators users.
• Collect user requests and pass them to the development team.
• Organize users and developers meetings. Contribute to new ideas and projects, and participate in existing efforts
• Train and provide technical support for reservoir engineers using simulator
• Participate in national and international professional societies, as well as have the ability to communicate and steer practical research in various international R&D organizations.
• Participate in preparing technical papers for professional societies local and/or international technical meetings, conferences, forums and workshops.
Candidates should have preferably a M.Sc degree in Engineering or Science, with a background in use and some development experience of reservoir simulators. Minimum of five years of experience with the oil and gas industry.
