The Sparrows Group are looking to recruit a Crane Mechanic to join our team in Slidell, Louisiana.
The primary purpose of the role is to perform repairs and overhauls of mechanical, hydraulic, electric and diesel equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components.
• Perform maintenance on engines, forklifts and cherry pickers.
• Installation of new and rebuilt cranes onshore.
• Assist in overhaul of cranes in shop.
• Ability to travel, on occasion, to perform repairs in the field.
• Provide own hand tools.
• Keep shop and grounds clean and maintained.
• Maintain all shop tools, equipment and supplies.
• Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications & Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous relevant experience
• Basic knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel repair.
• Must be able to identify major crane components.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
