Overview / Responsibilities Job Description - Provides technical expertise and knowledge to the manufacturing process of the unit (raw materials, equipment, and processes)
- Implements new technologies, processes, and raw materials
- Provide process support to Plant Engineering activities, usually involving preparation of major Projects Appropriation Requests or execution of detailed engineering of projects
- Works with support teams to monitor unit operations, correct problems and assist in improvements, usually for special problems or projects
- Leads Process Safety Activities (PHA's, MOC's, etc.)
- Communicates and documents process engineering activities in unit support, design, plant engineering, environmental and process safety support activities with little or no review required
- Provides support to site through updates of Unit Technology Plan, Productivity Plan, and project pipeline
- Develop and maintain plan to address gap from entitlement targets, most effective technology (MET), and best practices
- Leverage improvements between different sites or industries to continuously improve the technology and the production process
- Continuously engage in the production facility to identify and remove barriers inhibiting flawless production
- Work with Capital Project Manager on process discipline related project design and installations
Skills / Qualifications Qualifications- B. S. Chemical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in a Process Engineer role
- Ability to Multitask and Handle Multiple Assignments
- Ability to Work as Self Directed Individual
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to Work with Other Groups such as Maintenance, Reliability, and Operations
- Personal Safety
