Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate preparation and disbursement of payroll and benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and process weekly and semimonthly payroll (experience with large volume considered an asset)
  • Issue ROE's, T4s and other related annual tax reporting
  • Investigating both payroll and employee benefits enquiries
  • Analyzing and making payroll adjustments as necessary
  • Maintaining the employee payroll database
  • Interpreting and adhering to all company policies and government regulations relative to the payroll process.
  • Ensuring compliance with Payroll Legislation
  • Enrolling employees for various benefits
  • Remaining up to date concerning payroll and benefit issues through all applicable policies and resources available.
  • Other duties as required.

 


What You'll Need

 

 

  • Accounting & Payroll Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Professional payroll designation (PCP or CPM) through the Canadian Payroll Association
  • 3+ years payroll experience
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure in time sensitive environments to meet challenging deadlines including outside of regular business hours as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and typing
  • Willing and able to learn existing and new software
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, self-directed and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
