Overview
They are seeking a Digital Transformation Solution Engineer to join their Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization within their Manufacturing Technical Support Division (MTSD) team.
MTSD are a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements for our Global Manufacturing Admin Area. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of GM Operating facilities.
Your primary role is to support the Global Manufacturing Digital Transformation programs which aim at maximizing the digital value realization, utilization and benefits by deploying innovative and efficient digital transformation solutions and technologies across Global Manufacturing facilities. You will also provide an overall technical vision and recommendations for Digital Transformation Solutions ensuring alignment and integration with existing technologies. You will design, describe, and manage the related solutions to bridge the gap between business challenges and available technologies.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Provide recommendations, design and analysis for all planned and ongoing Digital Transformation activities across Global Manufacturing.
Provide engineering and solutions architecture expertise to support all Digital Transformation (DT) initiatives.
Provide recommendations for innovative digital transformation technologies and solutions with the most efficient architecture and highest business and financial benefits.
Work with corporate entities and engineering services to align DT technologies architecture design for Admin Area (AA) wide departments.
Explore opportunities to partner with external vendors to pilot new technologies and solutions, coordinate the business plan and funding submittals for DT technologies.
Promote Digital awareness among AA employees through workshops, knowledge sharing sessions and collaborations with corporate departments and vendors.
Provide recommendations to improve solution sustainability, availability, utilization and value realization from operating facilities including DT new technologies, pilot or proof of concept initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
You must hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or Equivalent
You should have a minimum of 12 years experience within industry technologies, digital applications and solutions, integration and data exchange.
Knowledge of oil/gas related plant processes and operation is preferred.
You should possess strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data manipulation, analytics, and building statistical models.
You should have intermediate to advanced knowledge in digital transformation fields such as IIOT, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Knowledge of integration techniques, database and visualization techniques is required.
Familiarity of UAV, Robotics and 3D Printing technologies is also required.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work with multiple discipline projects related to digital transformation.
