Position Title - BCM Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist in managing the business continuity to ensure that Company operation remains intact by ensuring the BCMS plans and procedures are fit for purpose and support in implementation of the plans.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management? Based on Company long-term strategy, abide by crisis management policies and procedures withinCompany to ensure business continuity.? Ensure business continuity by assisting in identifying associated hazards and risks that would hinderthe performance of the company.? Ensure business is resumed according to alternative plans by being flexible to mitigate risks.

Continuous Improvement? Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability ofsystems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and costreduction

Business Process Improvement? Assist in analysing root cause to ensure continuous improvement in order to enhance and optimizebusiness processes.

Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures? Provide inputs and implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures so that all relevantprocedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.? Keep abreast with the latest BCM trends and changes and report back to the management for analysisand review.

Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment? Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental management proceduresand controls within the defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery ofhigh-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Budgets? Contribute to the preparation of the budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget sothat the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance areidentified.

BCM Plans & Reports? Prepare relevant statements and reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company anddepartment requirements, policies, and standards.

Related Assignments? Perform other related duties or assignments as per the company's need.

Jobholder is responsible for supporting the BCM activity and ensuring that the BCMS plans and procedures are fit for purpose and support in implementation of the plans.? Key decisions having significant impact on the function are referred to Company' Manager Business Continuity Mgt. and Security for approval before implementation.? The jobholder exercises financial and operational authority as per the level established by Company' management and stipulated in the authority matrix.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Jobholder is responsible for supporting the BCM activity and ensuring that the BCMS plans and procedures are fit for purpose and support in implementation of the plans.? Key decisions having significant impact on the function are referred to Company' Manager Business Continuity Mgt. and Security for approval before implementation.? Minimum Qualifications:? Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or a similar discipline from a reputable university.Minimum Experience:? 4 years of BCM experience gained at a reputable institution/organization.? Experience in the Middle East region is preferable.Job-specific Skills (Generic/Technical):? Advanced knowledge of BCM techniques and processes.? Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.? Proficiency in both English (must) and Arabic (preferable).? Ability to scan the external environment to understand impact on the business? Solid relationship building skills? Excellent conflict resolution abilities.? Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team, and externalpartners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework.? Excellent communication skills.? Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
