JOB PURPOSE:
Shell Trading & Supply has a global portfolio of crude oil, refined products, LNG, chemicals natural gas, electrical power and CO2. Trading offices are located in the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, The Netherlands, Japan, Barbados, Dubai and Russia, with many other downstream entities situated across the globe. This role will be supporting the Trading and Supply business in the Americas, working closely with the business stakeholders in that location.

This position is in Operations Support Team (OST) Products Manila and is part of Commercial Operations Products AM. Specifically, the successful candidate will be part of the OST-Inventory Team. The team provides mid- to back-office operational support primarily to Trading and Supply Operations Products AM. This role includes tasks critical to the completion of cargo movements such as the actualization of cargo movements and the periodic reconciliation of inventory positions. The scope of the team changes as business needs change.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The booking all cargo movements and reconciliation of inventories in an accurate and timely manner - essential to keep the Profit/Loss and Exposure position accurate and up to date, to support effective Trading:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The booking all cargo movements and reconciliation of inventories in an accurate and timely manner - essential to keep the Profit/Loss and Exposure position accurate and up to date, to support effective Trading:
- Manual booking of all cargo movement types including marine, truck, rail and pipeline
- Monthly reconciliation of location and logistic system inventories
- The identification and booking of necessary inter-book and regrade records; the identification of the correct trading strategies to allocate records to
- The tracking of, accounting for and closure of all unclosed imbalances which lead to Prior Period Adjustments (PPAs)
- Proactive handling and resolution of all received queries and requests
- Proactive troubleshooting of errors which can prevent accurate booking and reconciliation:
- System errors
- System interface errors
- Cargo documentation and monthly statement errors
- Missing data
- Incorrect deal and nomination entry
- Work closely with interdependent groups such as Trading, Operations and Finance. Develop relationships with those teams and ensure that processes are working effectively and efficiently
- Generate key data reports for internal customers
- File transaction records in line with Group Records Management policies
- Maintain Operations manuals and other material in the Operations on-boarding website, together with desk leads.
- Participate in assigned LEAN or Continuous Improvement projects, building knowledge and experience of methodology and tools
- Routinely examine existing and new procedures. Seek process improvements and efficiency. Support ad-hoc projects assigned by Team Leader
- Maintain "first time right" mentality and behaviours.
- Assistance with audits when required.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to share learnings and best practices
Experience and Qualifications:
- Can productively and fit to work on Night shifts (08PM-05AM or 9PM-06AM Manila Time)
- Previous experience of working with US customers an advantage but not essential
- Experience with natural gas pipeline balancing, settlement and invoicing preferred
- Direct experience working proactively with a diverse group of internal and external customers, responding to their needs while meeting tight deadlines
- Experience working with commercial, operations, producer services, contracts and trading groups preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Evidenced ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Evidenced ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Evidenced ability to quickly learn new processes, systems and business
- Evidenced ability to backfill for co-workers and taking on additional projects
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Intermediate level Excel skills preferred
- University degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Endur is an advantage but not essential
- Working knowledge of LEAN or other CI tools will be highly considered
