Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently sourcing an experienced Welding Inspector to join the Wood team in Manila.
Responsibilities: - Review and comment on subcontractor welding/NDT procedure & qualifications (such as welders lists, NDT operator lists, welding consumables management procedure, piping/structural steel certificates, material traceability procedure, Welding Summary List and Welding traceability Reports)
- Perform witness, inspection & surveillance checks and continually assess subcontractor performance on Welding/ NDT related activities
- Ensuring the quality of the work in accordance with the CQCP, approved ITPs, and procedures within assigned areas
- Issue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDT activities
- Prepare and ensure timely close out of punch lists items in accordance with the approved procedures
- Support completion team in the preparation/ review of Turn Over dossiers
Skills / Qualifications - A demonstrable commitment to safety in the workplace; leading by example
- Demonstrable knowledge of Oil & Gas industry materials and equipment of same, e.g., mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, structural steel, piping materials
- Possess a minimum of 10 years in Welding Inspection
- Attention to detail, commitment to a "Right - First - Time" ethos
- Good coordination, interpersonal skills
- Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
- Self - motivating, well organized, resourceful and proactive
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a commitment to
meeting and maintaining compliance
